Video Editor

Edit videos from your Fansly vault or device, add overlays and effects, then download the result or save it back to your vault.

Video Editor helps you make quick edits to videos without leaving Fansly. Use it to trim a clip, switch between landscape and portrait formats, add text or visual effects, and export the finished video.

Accessing Video Editor

  1. Open Fansly.
  2. Click the FBuddy icon in the top bar.
  3. Select Video Editor.

The Video Editor window opens and asks you to choose a video source.

You may also see an Edit button on supported video tiles in your Fansly vault. That shortcut opens Video Editor for the selected vault video.

Choose a Video

Choose where the editor should load the video from:

  • Pick from Vault: Select one video from your Fansly vault in the Pick Video window.
  • Upload from Device: Select a video file from your computer.

If you choose a vault video, the editor may show Preparing video..., Downloading video..., or Downloading video (this may take a moment)... before the controls appear.

Edit a Video

Use the top controls to choose the output format:

  • Landscape: Keep a horizontal video layout.
  • Portrait: Create a vertical 9:16 video.

When you choose Portrait, choose a portrait layout:

  • Full: Use one portrait crop area.
  • Stacked: Use two portrait crop areas stacked vertically.

In Portrait mode, drag the numbered crop boxes in the preview to choose which part of the video appears. In Full mode, use Fit or Fill to control whether the whole video is visible or the crop fills the vertical frame. In Stacked mode, drag the divider between the two preview areas to adjust how much space each crop uses.

Use the left toolbar to add edits:

  • Select: Select, move, or resize an existing layer.
  • Text: Add editable text, then change the font, size, color, BG Color, and BG Opacity.
  • Emoji: Add an emoji and adjust its size.
  • Sticker: Add an image sticker and use Replace to choose a different sticker.
  • Blur: Blur part of the video.
  • Pixelate: Pixelate part of the video.
  • Color Block: Cover part of the video with a solid color.
  • Undo and Redo: Step backward or forward through recent layer changes.

Select an added layer to move or resize it in the preview. Use Selection to adjust the selected layer's settings, or open Layers to show, hide, reorder, or delete layers.

Settings That Affect This Feature

The main Video Editor menu item is available from the FBuddy menu.

A separate setting controls the vault shortcut:

  1. Open FBuddy icon > Tweaks > FBuddy Features.
  2. Search for Vault Video Editor Actions.
  3. Keep it on (default) to show the vault Edit shortcut, or turn it off to hide it.

Set Timing

Use the timeline to choose the video range and layer timing.

  1. Drag the main timeline handles to choose the part of the video you want to export.
  2. Add a layer if you want text, stickers, blur, pixelation, or color blocks.
  3. Under Layer Lanes, drag that layer's handles to choose when the layer appears.

The editor shows the selected clip length and output format near the export buttons.

Export a Video

When the preview looks right, choose one of these options:

  • Download: Save the edited video to your device.
  • Save to Vault: Upload the edited video to your Fansly vault.

During export, the editor may show Rendering (0%)..., Uploading..., or Downloading.... Keep the Video Editor window open until the export finishes.

When saving to your vault succeeds, FBuddy shows a confirmation and places the finished video in the [FB] Edits album.

Important Notes

  • Video files only: If FBuddy says Please select a video file., choose a video file instead.
  • Sticker files must be images: If FBuddy says Please select an image file for sticker. or Sticker replacement must be an image., choose an image file.
  • Export time varies: Longer videos and more edits can take more time to render.
  • Vault shortcut is optional: If you do not see Edit on vault videos, open FBuddy icon > Tweaks > FBuddy Features, search for Vault Video Editor Actions, make sure it is turned on, then refresh Fansly.

Troubleshooting

  • The editor says "Could not load video from vault.": Refresh Fansly, reopen your vault, and try the video again. If it still fails and you have the file on your computer, use Upload from Device instead.
  • The Download or Save to Vault button is disabled: Wait for the video to finish loading, then make sure a video is selected.
  • An edit appears at the wrong time: Select the layer's lane in the timeline and adjust its start and end handles.
  • The editor says "Export failed. Please try again.": Try again with the editor still open. If it keeps failing, shorten the clip or remove a few layers before exporting.
  • The editor says "Failed to save to vault. Please try again.": Try Save to Vault again. If it still fails, use Download to keep a copy on your device, then upload that video to your vault manually.
