Video Editor
Edit videos from your Fansly vault or device, add overlays and effects, then download the result or save it back to your vault.
Video Editor helps you make quick edits to videos without leaving Fansly. Use it to trim a clip, switch between landscape and portrait formats, add text or visual effects, and export the finished video.
Accessing Video Editor
- Open Fansly.
- Click the FBuddy icon in the top bar.
- Select Video Editor.
The Video Editor window opens and asks you to choose a video source.
You may also see an Edit button on supported video tiles in your Fansly vault. That shortcut opens Video Editor for the selected vault video and is controlled by Vault Video Editor Actions in FBuddy icon > Tweaks > FBuddy Features.
Choose a Video
Choose where the editor should load the video from:
- Pick from Vault: Select one video from your Fansly vault.
- Upload from Device: Select a video file from your computer.
If you choose a vault video, the editor may show Preparing video... or Downloading video... before the controls appear.
Edit a Video
Use the top controls to choose the output format:
- Landscape: Keep a horizontal video layout.
- Portrait: Create a vertical 9:16 video.
- Full: Use one portrait crop area.
- Stacked: Use two portrait crop areas stacked vertically.
Use the left toolbar to add edits:
- Select: Select, move, or resize an existing layer.
- Text: Add editable text, then change the font, size, color, background color, and background opacity.
- Emoji: Add an emoji and adjust its size.
- Sticker: Add an image sticker and use Replace to choose a different sticker.
- Blur: Blur part of the video.
- Pixelate: Pixelate part of the video.
- Color Block: Cover part of the video with a solid color.
- Undo and Redo: Step backward or forward through recent layer changes.
Select an added layer to move or resize it in the preview. Use Selection to adjust the selected layer's settings, or open Layers to show, hide, reorder, or delete layers.
Set Timing
Use the timeline to choose the video range and layer timing.
- Drag the main timeline handles to choose the part of the video you want to export.
- Add a layer if you want text, stickers, blur, pixelation, or color blocks.
- Drag that layer's lane handles to choose when the layer appears.
The editor shows the selected clip length and output format near the export buttons.
Export a Video
When the preview looks right, choose one of these options:
- Download: Save the edited video to your device.
- Save to Vault: Upload the edited video to your Fansly vault.
During export, the editor may show Rendering, Uploading, or Downloading. Keep the Video Editor window open until the export finishes.
When saving to your vault succeeds, FBuddy shows a confirmation and places the finished video in the [FB] Edits album.
Important Notes
- Video files only: If Upload from Device rejects a file, choose a video file instead.
- Export time varies: Longer videos and more edits can take more time to render.
- Vault shortcut is optional: If you do not see Edit on vault videos, open FBuddy icon > Tweaks > FBuddy Features, search for Vault Video Editor Actions, make sure it is turned on, then refresh Fansly.
Troubleshooting
- The editor says it could not load a vault video: Refresh Fansly, reopen your vault, and try the video again. If it still fails, use Upload from Device with a copy of the video.
- The Download or Save to Vault button is disabled: Wait for the video to finish loading, then make sure a video is selected.
- An edit appears at the wrong time: Select the layer's lane in the timeline and adjust its start and end handles.
- Export failed: Try again with the editor still open. If it keeps failing, shorten the clip or remove a few layers before exporting.
