Mass Media Permissions

Update media access rules for every item in a post at once.

Mass Media Permissions lets you change the access rules for all media attached to a single post in one step, instead of editing each item separately.

What It Does

  • Scans one of your posts to find all attached media and bundles.
  • Lets you pick a single set of permissions.
  • Applies those permissions to every media item and bundle attached to that post.

Requirements

  • FBuddy extension installed and enabled.
  • Mass Media Permissions toggle turned on in Tweaks.
  • A post you own that includes media (open the post page, or view it from your profile's Posts list).

Where to Find It

  • Open a post you own.
  • Click the [FB] Post Actions button (FBuddy icon) in the post header (near the timestamp).
  • Select Mass Media Permissions from the menu.

Quick Start

  1. Enable Mass Media Permissions in FBuddy -> Tweaks.
  2. Open a post you own that you want to update.
  3. Click [FB] Post Actions -> Mass Media Permissions.
  4. Wait for the scan to finish.
  5. Click Edit Permissions.
  6. Choose your permissions and save.
  7. Click Apply to Post.
  8. Refresh the page to see the updated access rules.

Choosing Permissions

You'll use the same permissions editor as individual media items.

Basic permissions

  • Require Purchase: set a price for pay-to-unlock media.
  • Require Subscription: allow any subscriber or a specific tier.
  • Require Follow: allow followers to view.

Advanced permissions Turn on Advanced Permissions if you need more control:

  • Add multiple permission groups and combine them with OR.
  • Within a group, you can stack rules such as Following, Price, Subscribed, and Private List.
  • Optionally set a limited time window for when a group applies.
  • Save your setup as a preset to reuse later.

If you save with no requirements selected, the post's media will have no access restrictions.

Notes

  • This updates the permissions on the media items and bundles attached to the post. If the same media or bundle is used in other posts, those posts will also use the new permissions.
  • If the post contains no media, the tool won't apply anything.

Troubleshooting

  • "Unable to open Mass Media Permissions"
Open the post page first and try again. If you're using your profile's Posts list, click the post once to open it, then reopen Post Actions.
  • "You can only change permissions on your own posts."
Make sure you opened one of your posts, not someone else's.
  • "No media found in this post."
Add media to the post first, then try again.
  • "Post not found." / "Unable to load post. Please try again."
Refresh the page and try again. If the post was deleted or moved, open it again and rerun the tool.
  • "Unable to load post media. Please try again." / scan fails
Refresh the page and reopen the tool. If the problem persists, try again later.
  • Some items failed to update
Refresh the page to confirm what changed, then rerun the tool for the remaining items.
