Text Templates

Save reusable message snippets and use them in DMs, Mass Direct Message, notification quick reply, the Auto Messages editor, Bulk Posts, User Profile notes, and posts. Organize templates into folders, search by title or text, and quick-send a template in an open DM. Pro syncs templates across devices and unlocks templates across all supported surfaces; Free limits templates to the post composer and does not sync across devices.

What It Does

• On Pro, enables Text Templates in DMs, Mass Direct Message, notification quick reply, the Auto Messages editor, Bulk Posts, the post composer, and the Notes editor in User Profile; on Free, templates can be used in the post composer only
• Inserts a saved template at your cursor; DM templates can be quick-sent directly
• When a DM template includes media, a prompt lets you insert just the text or send it with the media after entering a one-time price ($1-$500), prefilled when the template already has a price
• Lets you create, edit, delete, and move templates into folders
• Supports optional media attachments saved with a template; sending media is limited to DMs
• Shows price badges and media counts for templates that include media
• Syncs templates across devices on Pro; Free templates do not sync across devices

Requirements

• FBuddy installed and signed in
• Text Templates enabled in Tweaks

Where to Find It

• Toggle: click the FBuddy icon button -> Tweaks -> enable Text Templates
• DMs: in any conversation, click the FBuddy icon button next to the message box and open Text Templates
• Mass Direct Message: inside the send modal, use the FBuddy icon button near the message box and open Text Templates
• Notification Quick Reply (Pro): when replying from the notification quick reply popover, use the FBuddy icon button beside the textarea to launch Text Templates and drop a saved reply
• Post composer: at the bottom area beside posting actions, click the FBuddy icon button and open Text Templates
• Bulk Posts (Pro): in each text block inside Bulk Posts, click the FBuddy icon next to the textarea to open Text Templates and insert saved text
• Auto Messages editor (Pro): the FBuddy icon next to the message textarea in Auto Messages opens Text Templates so you can pull in saved copy while building an automated message (add media through the Auto Messages media controls)
• User Profile notes (Pro): while editing Notes on a fan's profile, click the FBuddy icon under the Notes box to reuse a saved template; inserts text only

Quick Start

1. Enable Text Templates in Tweaks.
2. If you are on Pro, open a DM, Mass Direct Message, the post composer (including Bulk Posts), a notification quick reply, the Auto Messages editor, or the Notes editor in User Profile. On Free, use the post composer.
3. Click the FBuddy icon button near the text box -> choose Text Templates.
4. Pick a template from the list, or search by title/text. The text inserts at your cursor. If the template includes media in a DM, the prompt lets you insert only the text or send it with media after setting a one-time price between $1 and $500 (the field is prefilled when the template already has a price).
5. Managing templates:
   • In the menu, click Manage Templates.
   • Create a new template: enter a Title and Message text, then save. The template is saved to the folder you're currently viewing in Manage Templates (choose a folder first in the sidebar if needed). You can add media to the template; media sends only from DMs when you send the template there.
   • Edit or delete existing templates. Move them between folders as needed.
   • Create folders: click the New button in the Folders section sidebar to create a folder for organizing templates.
   • Delete folders: if a folder has templates inside, you'll be asked to confirm deleting the folder and its contents.

Using In Each Place

• DMs (Pro): choose a template and either insert the text or use the Quick Send button to send immediately. When a template includes media, the prompt lets you insert the text or send it with media; enter a one-time price between $1 and $500 (the field pre-fills with any saved price).
• Mass Direct Message (Pro): templates insert text only. Any media saved on the template is ignored here; attach media from the Mass Direct Message composer if needed.
• Notification Quick Reply (Pro): open the FBuddy icon button beside the quick reply textarea to insert only the saved text; template media is ignored here, so open the full DM if you need to attach media.
• Auto Messages editor (Pro): when creating or editing an Auto Message, the FBuddy icon next to the message textarea opens Text Templates so you can drop in saved copy. If a template has media, choose Insert Text in the prompt and add media through the Auto Messages media controls.
• Post composer (All plans): templates insert text only.
• Bulk Posts (Pro): in each text entry for a Bulk Post batch, templates insert text only; add any media through the Bulk Posts media picker.
• User Profile notes (Pro): inserts text only while you edit Notes; media saved on a template is ignored here.

Media Features

• Media Attachments: Add images, videos, and audio files to templates. Media previews show as thumbnails in the template list.

• One-Time Price: When sending a template with media in a DM, the prompt asks for a one-time price from $1 to $500 and pre-fills any saved price from the template.

• Bundle Pricing: Templates with multiple media items show one green price badge for the saved price; single-media templates use the same badge with that item's price.

• Media Count: Badges show the number of media items; a bundle icon appears when there are two or more.

• Quick Send Media: Media sends only from DMs when you use Quick Send or choose Send in the DM prompt. In other locations, only the text inserts.

Tips & Limits

• Folders help you group related templates (e.g., greetings, follow-ups, promos). Use the folder filter in the menu to narrow the list.
• The search matches both the template title and its text.
• Templates show media count badges with icons and green price badges for paid content.
• If a template shows a price badge, that price applies to the media saved with the template when quick-sent in a DM.
• Attachments saved on a template send only from DMs. In Mass Direct Message and posts, templates insert text only.
• In Auto Messages, use Insert Text if a template contains media; sending is meant for live DMs.

Troubleshooting

• Don't see the menu: open the FBuddy icon button -> Tweaks and enable Text Templates, then refresh the page.
• Menu is present but disabled in DMs/Mass Direct Message: upgrade to Pro to use templates in those areas.
• Can't find a template: clear the folder filter or use the search field; check Manage Templates to confirm it exists.
• Template includes media but nothing attaches: media sends only from DMs. In Mass Direct Message or posts, the template's text inserts without media.
• Quick Send says to open a DM: open a DM conversation first, then use Quick Send so the message has a destination.
