Features
Unanswered Messages
Track recent DMs that still need a reply and show unread message indicators in your browser.
Use Unanswered Messages to spot conversations where your reply is still pending and return to them quickly from the top of Fansly. The related Unread Message Indicators setting can also show your unread DM count in the browser tab.
Accessing Unanswered Messages
- Open Fansly and go to your Messages section.
- In the top-right of the header area, open the FBuddy header badges area.
- Click the blue badge with the message icon and count to open the unanswered list.
- Click a row to open that conversation.
If the badge is not visible, open FBuddy icon > Tweaks > FBuddy Features > Unanswered Messages and keep it enabled.
Unanswered Messages List
What appears in the list
- Threads where the latest message is from someone else and you have not replied.
- Only messages from the last 30 days are included.
- Messages sent by platform automations are normally excluded.
- Tip or media-only threads can still appear; these may show as
(Tip or Media)when there is no text snippet. - The list is updated in the background, so it may take a short time to refresh after new messages arrive.
Main actions
- Open the badge to show the list.
- Use Search users... to match display name, username, custom username, or message text.
- Choose the sort mode from the dropdown: Oldest First or Newest First.
- Click a thread row to jump directly to that conversation.
- Click the Mark as read check icon to remove a thread from the list when you no longer need it in the queue.
Visual clues
- The blue badge number is the count of unanswered threads available.
- A green dot on an avatar means the fan was active within about 30 minutes.
- An amber dot on an avatar means the fan was seen more than about 30 minutes ago.
- The counter in the list header shows
visible / totalto help you read how much is filtered.
Limits and behavior to expect
- A tip amount is shown for tip messages.
- A media or tip-only thread can show as
(Tip or Media)when there is no text snippet.
Unread Message Indicators
Unread Message Indicators is a related setting that links to this page from Tweaks. It does not change the unanswered list.
When enabled, it can:
- Add the unread DM count to the browser tab title.
- Add a notification dot to the browser tab icon when you have unread DMs.
This indicator depends on browser support, so it may not appear for everyone even when the setting is enabled.
Settings that affect this feature
- FBuddy icon > Tweaks > FBuddy Features > Unanswered Messages enables or disables the badge.
- FBuddy icon > Tweaks > FBuddy Features > Unread Message Indicators enables or disables the browser tab count and notification dot.
- Unanswered Messages is marked as a Pro feature in the UI.
- If you use many active chats, keep Fansly open while you use the list so refreshes can apply as messages arrive.
Troubleshooting
- I only see older or wrong threads: wait a minute and reopen the list so the background refresh can update the latest items.
- I cannot find a fan in the list: use Search users... to match display name, username, custom username, or message text.
- I still don't see expected threads after a minute or two: check that the thread is not still shown as an automated message and is within the last 30 days.
- The badge is visible but nothing seems to update: open Tweaks and confirm Unanswered Messages is enabled, then refresh Fansly.
- The browser tab count or dot does not appear: open Tweaks and confirm Unread Message Indicators is enabled. If it still does not appear, your browser may not support this indicator reliably.
