Unread Message Indicators
Show unread Fansly DM counts in your browser tab and favicon.
Unread Message Indicators help you notice new Fansly DMs while you are working in other tabs. When you have unread DMs, FBuddy can show the count in the browser tab title and add a notification dot to the tab icon.
This feature is on by default.
Accessing Unread Message Indicators
- Open Fansly while signed in.
- Leave the Fansly tab open while you work.
- When unread DMs appear, check the Fansly browser tab for the unread count and notification dot.
What You Will See
- Browser tab title: Shows the unread count before the page title, such as (4).
- Tab icon: Shows a notification dot when there are unread DMs.
- No unread DMs: The count and dot disappear after the unread DMs are cleared.
When the unread count reaches 99 or more, the tab title shows 99+ instead of the exact number.
Turning It Off
- Open Fansly while signed in.
- Open the FBuddy icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Tweaks.
- Open FBuddy Features.
- Find Unread Message Indicators and turn the toggle off.
Turn the toggle back on any time you want the browser tab indicators again. This setting is related to Unanswered Messages, but it only controls the browser tab title and tab icon.
Troubleshooting
- The tab title or icon does not update: Refresh Fansly and confirm Unread Message Indicators is turned on in Tweaks.
- The notification dot does not appear: Browser restrictions or compatibility issues can limit favicon changes. The unread count in the tab title may still work even when the dot does not.
- The count looks wrong: Wait a moment for Fansly to finish updating the unread message count, then refresh if needed.
