Unread Message Indicators

Unread Message Indicators helps you notice new DMs at a glance by showing unread activity in your browser tab while you work in Fansly.

Accessing Unread Message Indicators

1. Open Fansly.
2. Click the FBuddy icon button in the top-right corner.
3. Select Tweaks.
4. Turn on Unread Message Indicators.

If you do not see the setting quickly, use the Search FBuddy features field in Tweaks and type unread.

Unread Message Indicators Features

Show unread count in the tab title

1. Enable Unread Message Indicators.
2. Refresh the Fansly tab if you just turned the setting on.
3. Leave at least one Fansly tab open.
4. Check the browser tab title when you receive unread messages.

Expected results:

• The tab title changes to ({count}) ... when unread messages are present.
• The count updates while the tab stays open.
• The count displays as 99+ when unread messages reach 99 or more.

Show unread status in the favicon

1. Keep Unread Message Indicators enabled in Tweaks.
2. Leave a Fansly tab open.
3. Watch the browser tab icon when unread messages appear or clear.

Expected results:

• A small unread dot is added to the Fansly tab icon when unread messages are present.
• The dot is removed after there are no unread messages remaining.
• The tab title and tab icon update together on the same open Fansly tab.

Important Notes

• Unread Message Indicators is enabled by default.
• Note: The indicators only appear on open Fansly tabs where FBuddy is active.
• Note: Changes in Tweaks take effect after a page refresh.
• Note: This feature might not work in every browser or browsing setup.
• Note: Some browsers delay tab title or icon updates in background tabs.

Troubleshooting

• Unread count is not updating: Refresh the Fansly tab, then confirm Unread Message Indicators is still enabled in FBuddy > Tweaks.
• No dot appears on the tab icon: Confirm you have at least one unread message, then refresh the open Fansly tab. If it still does not appear, your browser may not support this indicator reliably.
• Unread count stays stale: Turn Unread Message Indicators off in Tweaks, turn it back on, and refresh the page.
