Unread Message Indicators helps you notice new DMs at a glance by showing unread activity in your browser tab while you work in Fansly.

Accessing Unread Message Indicators

  1. Open Fansly.
  2. Click the FBuddy icon button in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Tweaks.
  4. Turn on Unread Message Indicators.

If you do not see the setting quickly, use the Search feature toggles field in Tweaks and type unread.

Unread Message Indicators Features

Show unread count in the tab title

  1. Enable Unread Message Indicators.
  2. Keep your Fansly tab open while messages update.
  3. Check the browser tab title.

Expected results:

  • The tab title changes to ({count}) ... when unread messages are present.
  • The count updates while the tab stays open.
  • The count displays as 99+ if there are many unread messages.

When this toggle is on, unread messages are shown as a number in the tab title.

Show unread status in the favicon

  • A small unread-dot indicator is added to the Fansly tab icon when unread messages are detected.
  • The dot is removed after there are no unread messages remaining.
  • The count in the title is capped at 99+.

Important Notes

  • Unread Message Indicators is enabled by default.
  • This feature is available on both Free and Pro plans.
  • Note: The feature only updates on the Fansly tab and may not work in some browser setups due to compatibility limits.
  • Note: Some browsers block frequent favicon/title updates in background tabs, which can delay updates.

Troubleshooting

  • Unread count is not updating: Refresh the Fansly tab, then confirm Unread Message Indicators is still enabled in FB > Tweaks.
  • No dot appears on the tab icon: Confirm at least one message is unread, then refresh the Fansly tab to force a refresh.
  • Unread count stays stale: Turn Unread Message Indicators off, reopen Tweaks, turn it back on, and refresh the page.
