Agencies
Member Guide
Join an agency, switch between personal and team mode, and understand what members can do.
Join an agency and work with your team under a shared subscription. This guide explains how to accept invitations, switch contexts, and use agency features as a member.
What It Does
- Lets you work in FBuddy under your team's subscription when an agency is active; if the owner has an active Pro subscription and the Fansly account you're using is activated for the agency, you use those benefits while in agency mode
- Allows switching between Personal and agency contexts with one click
- Provides access to agency Fansly accounts that owners or admins activate
- Enables leaving agencies when permitted by your role
Requirements
- FBuddy account (sign in with the email that received the invitation)
- Invitation from an agency owner or admin
- No Pro subscription required to join (only owners need Pro to create agencies)
Where to Find It
- Dashboard: select Agencies in the sidebar to view your agencies
- Agency page: after selecting an agency, view members and switch contexts
- Active badge on an agency card shows which context is active; if nothing is marked Active you're in Personal mode
Accept an Invitation
- Open the invitation email and select the link to join.
- Sign in to FBuddy if prompted (use the same email the invite was sent to).
- After acceptance, the agency opens automatically as your active context. You'll see the Active badge on that agency's page.
- It also appears under Dashboard > Agencies so you can return to it later.
- Invitation links expire automatically. If the link is expired or already used, ask the owner or admin to send a new invitation.
Switch Between Personal and Agency
When you work in FBuddy, you're either in Personal mode or using an Active agency.
- Go to Dashboard > Agencies.
- Select your agency.
- Choose Set Active to switch into the agency. You'll see an Active badge.
- Choose Use Personal to switch back to your personal mode at any time.
Tip: The app uses whichever context is active.
Using Fansly Accounts With Your Agency
- Agency Fansly Accounts (visible to owners/admins) shows which accounts are active versus total, along with the current limit.
- Admins or the owner activate the accounts your team needs; once activated, the account counts toward the limit.
- Members don't see the management list but can use activated accounts. If you try to use one before it's activated, you'll be prompted to ask an owner or admin to turn it on.
Messaging Restrictions (If Enabled by Your Org)
Some teams set a list of restricted words that cannot be used in outgoing messages while the agency is active.
- If you try to send a message containing restricted words, FBuddy blocks the send and shows an error listing the words that were blocked.
- Edit the message to remove the listed words and send again.
- Restrictions apply only when using the agency; switching to Personal disables agency rules.
Leave an Agency
- Go to Dashboard > Agencies and select the agency.
- Choose Leave Agency (visible for members). You'll be removed from the member list and the agency disappears from your dashboard.
- Owners cannot leave; only the owner can delete the agency. Admins must ask the owner to remove them if they need to exit.
- If you don't see Leave Agency, ask the owner to remove you.
Roles and Permissions
- Owner: Full control, including inviting/removing members, editing agency settings, activating/deactivating accounts, and deleting the agency.
- Admin: Invite/cancel invites, edit agency settings, activate/deactivate accounts, and remove members (except the owner). Admins cannot delete the agency.
- Member: Use the agency and leave if the option is available.
Troubleshooting
- Invitation link doesn't work: Links expire automatically or may already be used. Ask your admin to resend a new invite and sign in before opening the link.
- Agency not showing up: Refresh the Agencies page or sign out and back in with the invited email.
- Can't activate an account: Only admins/owners can activate. Ask a team admin to activate the account or free a slot if the agency is at its limit.
- Messages are blocked: Remove the listed restricted words or switch back to Personal if appropriate.
