Member Guide

Join an agency, switch between personal and team mode, and understand what members can do.

Join an agency and work with teammates in a shared workspace context. This guide covers how to accept agency invitations, switch between Personal and agency modes, and work with the shared controls you can access as a member.

What It Does

  • Lets members use agency context for shared workflows
  • Shows when your active workspace is Personal or an agency
  • Lets you use Fansly accounts that owners/admins have already activated for the agency
  • Lets members leave an agency when the option is available for their role

Requirements

  • FBuddy account (sign in with the email that received the invitation)
  • Active invitation from a team owner or admin
  • No Pro subscription is required to join or use an agency as a member

Where to Find It

  • Dashboard: select Agencies in the sidebar
  • Open your agency card to open the Agency Overview page
  • Active badge: the selected agency card shows Active for your current context
  • If no agency card shows Active, you are in Personal mode

Accept an Invitation

  1. Open the invitation email and select the link.
  2. Sign in with the invited email if prompted.
  3. If you open the link while signed in with a different FBuddy account, you will be asked to sign in again with the invited account.
  4. The invitation is accepted and the agency is added to your Agencies list.
  5. Open the agency from Dashboard > Agencies and select Set Active to switch to that context.
  6. You can return anytime from Dashboard > Agencies.
  7. Invitation links expire automatically. If the link is expired or already used, ask the owner or admin to send a new invitation.

Switch Between Personal and Agency

When you work in FBuddy, you're either in Personal mode or using an Active agency.

  1. Go to Dashboard > Agencies.
  2. Select your agency.
  3. If the context is not active, choose Set Active to switch into the agency.
  4. If the agency is active, choose Use Personal to switch back to your personal mode.
  5. In both cases the active context card shows an Active badge.
  6. You can also switch context from the dashboard sidebar context selector (Personal and joined agencies).

Tip: The app always uses your currently active context.

Using Fansly Accounts With Your Agency

  • Agency Fansly Accounts is visible to owners and admins for account management.
  • Members can use accounts that are already activated for the agency.
  • If you try to use a non-activated account, the action is blocked and you are told to ask the owner or admin to activate it.
  • You can still continue in Personal mode after switching away from the agency context.

Messaging Restrictions (If Enabled by Your Org)

Some teams set a list of restricted words that cannot be used in outgoing messages while the agency is active.

  • If you try to send a message with restricted words, FBuddy blocks the send and shows an error listing the blocked terms.
  • Edit the message to remove the listed words and send again.
  • Restrictions apply only when your agency is active; switching to Personal disables the agency word list.

Leave an Agency

  1. Go to Dashboard > Agencies and select the agency.
  2. Choose Leave Agency (visible for members). You'll be removed from the member list and the agency disappears from your dashboard.
  3. Owners and admins do not get Leave Agency.
  4. If you don't see Leave Agency, ask an owner to remove you.

Roles and Permissions

  • Owner: Full control, including inviting/removing members, editing agency settings, activating/deactivating accounts, and deleting the agency.
  • Admin: Invite/cancel invites, edit agency settings, activate/deactivate accounts, view member details, and remove members (except the owner). Admins cannot delete the agency.
  • Member: Use the agency and leave if the option is available. Member details may be limited, and email addresses may not be visible in the Members list.

Troubleshooting

  • Invitation link doesn't work: Links expire automatically or may already be used. Ask your admin to resend a new invite and sign in with the invited account before opening the link.
  • Agency not showing up: Refresh the Agencies page or sign out and back in with the invited email.
  • Can't activate an account: Only admins/owners can activate. Ask a team admin to activate the account or free a slot if the agency is at its limit.
  • Messages are blocked: Remove the listed restricted words or switch back to Personal if appropriate.
